The PADI Rescue diver course teaches student divers to help prevent problems and manage dive emergencies using a variety of techniques. The PADI Rescue diver course here at Dive Santa Barbara is designed to be demanding, though realistic in its conduct, content and approach. Although the material you will learn in your rescue training may be serious, the course is enjoyable and builds diver confidence in and out of the water. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.
A CPR / First Aid Certification within the last 2 years is a prerequisite. If you don’t hold a current CPR / First Aid Certification, we can direct you to one of our preferred local partners to complete it.
All of our students are covered by our DAN Insurance policy, provided at no extra cost to you. It covers up to $25,000 in coverage for medical expenses. This covers you for up to 180 days during training dives. It is then up to you to join the DAN community, which provides high level insurance to divers at a very affordable cost.
